Main Differences Between Chaldean And Pythagorean Numerology

Chaldean and Pythagorean numerology are two distinct systems for interpreting the significance of numbers. Here are the key differences between them:

Origins

Chaldean Numerology: Chaldean numerology is rooted in ancient Babylon (Chaldea), which is part of modern-day Iraq. It has historical and mystical origins and is often associated with Eastern traditions.

Pythagorean Numerology: Pythagorean numerology is attributed to the ancient Greek mathematician Pythagoras. It is more mathematical and geometric in its approach and is closely tied to Western traditions.

Numerology Vibrations

Chaldean Numerology: In Chaldean numerology, each letter of the alphabet is assigned a specific numerical value. The assignments are based on the sound or vibration of the letter, making it unique.

Pythagorean Numerology: In the Pythagorean system, numerical values are assigned to the letters of the alphabet in a sequential and straightforward manner. A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, E=5, and so on.

Number 9

Chaldean Numerology: The number 9 is considered a holy, spiritual number in Chaldean numerology. It is retained as 9 and not reduced further.

Pythagorean Numerology: In the Pythagorean system, the number 9 is used and is not considered to be special or holy.

Use of DOB and Names

Chaldean Numerology: Chaldean numerology places a significant emphasis on the full birth name, including the first, middle, and last names that are written on your birth certificate. Besides that it also uses current name, last name. It analyzes the vibrations associated with these names to provide insights. The most important is Day Of Birth and not full DOB.

Pythagorean Numerology: Pythagorean numerology primarily focuses on the birthdate and uses a person's name but usually only considers the current name. The most important is full Date Of Birth and not only Day Of Birth like in Chaldean numerology.

Specifics

Chaldean Numerology: Chaldean numerology provides unique interpretations for each number, often delving into mystical and esoteric symbolism. Many times it shows close relationship with tarot, astrology etc. It also gives great importance to compound numbers and so called master numbers (for example 11, 22, 33 which are powerful numbers).

Pythagorean Numerology: Pythagorean numerology tends to have a more straightforward, mathematical approach. It analyzes numbers for their inherent qualities and characteristics without the same level of mysticism. It also avoids using compound numbers and their vibrations and focuses on single numbers that are always derived from compound numbers.

Why I use both?

When I initially developed an interest in numerology, I delved into numerous books and embarked on a journey to India, where I encountered a distinct numerology movement previously unfamiliar to me. In India, I found a wealth of numerology resources, including books, instructors, and seminars, all predominantly focused on Chaldean numerology. I dedicated significant time to thoroughly studying this system, and I was truly amazed by its effectiveness.

Alongside my exploration of Chaldean numerology, I ventured into the realm of Pythagorean numerology, only to discover its profound divergence from the Chaldean system. Cheiro, a mystic, traveler, and teacher, played a pivotal role in popularizing Chaldean numerology among the masses, leaving an enduring legacy that persists long after his passing.

The key point is that Chaldean numerology and the Pythagorean system are really different. They're like two separate parts of the same subject, a bit like how biology and chemistry are different but still related in the world of science. These systems have their own special ideas and ways of doing things, which make them stand apart from each other within the world of numerology.

After considering the widespread belief in Chaldean numerology in Eastern countries and the strong preference for the Pythagorean system in the West, I pondered the potential risks associated with solely adhering to one system. What if one system provided a more accurate reading than the other? To mitigate any uncertainties, I made the decision to incorporate both Chaldean and Pythagorean numerology into my reports.

For over two decades now, I've remained a unique figure in the realm of numerology by utilizing both systems. When crafting numerology readings, I draw insights from both Chaldean and Pythagorean theories. However, my approach doesn't stop there. I go a step further and ensure that the recommended names, whether they be for individuals, surnames, or company names, align harmoniously with both numerology systems.

This distinctive approach sets me apart from other numerologists. By harnessing the strengths of both Chaldean and Pythagorean numerology, I aim to provide a more comprehensive and balanced perspective in the readings I create, offering a holistic and well-rounded insight into the world of numerology for my clients.
